At Consett Academy, we place great importance on student voice. We actively listen to our students and take meaningful action in response to their feedback.

As Head of Safeguarding for the Trust, I, Mrs Menear had the opportunity to speak with students about their experiences of safeguarding and school life.
These conversations gave students a chance to share their views openly, including how safe they feel, who they would turn to for support, and how confident they are in reporting concerns.
The feedback was overwhelmingly positive and provides a valuable insight into how students experience the school's safeguarding culture and the support available to them.
